A kitchen with a point of view
I’m Hansheng Lee. I’ve been cooking since I was five, and I grew up in a family restaurant, studied culinary arts, and worked in a few industrial kitchens along the way. Some of my earliest lessons happened around food: how to work with what you have, how to feed people well, and how much the right tool can change a task.
But I still judge kitchen equipment by what happens when you reach for it on an ordinary day. Does it feel right in your hand? Does it do its job well? Will you want to use it again?
No matter where I was cooking, the tools made a huge difference. The right pan, a ladle that fits the task, or even a good pair of tiny tongs can make everyday work easier and more enjoyable.
Hansheng’s Kitchen is my collection of the kitchen tools I can’t live without and the ones I highly recommend. Every piece has a reason to be here. I want you to know what I’d use it for, why I chose it, and whether it belongs in your kitchen.
That includes the big decisions, like choosing a pot you’ll cook with for years. It also includes the little things: tongs that reach into a small jar, a ladle shaped for the way you stir, or a container that keeps your brown sugar ready when you need it. Useful things deserve careful thought, too.
I’ll share the reasoning behind my picks, along with recipes and cooking notes that show how these tools fit into a real kitchen. My hope is that you leave with something you’ll reach for often, and a little more confidence in what you can make with it.
Good food has a way of bringing people together.
This is the kitchen I’m building around that idea~
Come see what’s in the kitchen.
